She grew up in Kansas and earned two Bachelor of Arts degrees in mass communications (theater) and English (literature) from Southwestern Oklahoma State University before taking a left turn to attend law school at the University of Oklahoma. #BoomerSooner. Kayla graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2015, and moved to Dallas, Texas, to begin her legal career. She worked with a LegalZoom affiliate firm for four years and then worked with LegalZoom Legal Services directly for four years, practicing primarily trademark law for the last eight years.
